Music education through music theory, private lessons and more Hoff-Barthelson Music School has achieved national recognition as a premier community music school since 1944 for its unsurpassed leadership in education, performance and outreach. One of the largest in the country, it serves more than 1,800 students from 50 Westchester municipalities and beyond. The faculty of 90 is drawn from the nation's most distinguished performers and educators. Participation in large and small instrumental ensembles and chorus and frequent performance opportunities in a warm, familial setting are a hallmark of the School's educational philosophy and an integral part of the curriculum.
